chicks in pink could not support breast cancer patients at the Mater hospitals without the support of the community. Thank you to everyone who held fundraising events in October for chicks in pink.

Sandy Small and the team at Curves Carindale/ Carina raised $12,000 for chicks in pink through a variety of events including a special night of fun, finger food, champagne, raffles and live auctions on Saturday 10 October. A highlight of the evening was a talk from Mater breast surgeon, Dr David Wilkinson.

For the second year in a row the businesses on Racecourse Road at Ascot turned the street pink with a series of events on Wednesday 21 October starting wtih breakfast at Vagelis, brunch at The Lido, lunch at Baguette, and dinner at Brett's Wharf.

Pondera Physio and Pilates at West End and Yeronga donated 30c from each physio consultation and pilates session during October. Pondera staff also got into the spirit wearing pink t-shirts, using pink water bottles and decorating the studios.
